This comprehensive multi-phased case management curriculum is designed to engage staff at all career stages in honing skills as reflective practitioners in organizational leadership and supervision. The curriculum is competency-based and integrates cultural competence and ethics considerations throughout. The curriculum incorporates research and scientific findings in the field of organizational development and supervision.

The curriculum is comprised of related modules of various lengths ranging from three to 12 hours, and will be piloted in four blocks of two days (six and one half hours in length excluding breaks and lunch), for a total of eight days (52 hours) of face-to-face training. In addition, the pilot will include at least four hours of on-line training. Each module will include accessible suggested readings that will support participant learning and provide resources to share with staff.

Further, the Family Support Supervisor Curriculum will:
• provide theoretical foundation, concrete application, and emphasis on the improvement of client outcomes through enhanced organizational effectiveness;
• emphasize practical application of useful concepts and best practices;
• use principles of adult education and applied learning;
• provide written training materials to reinforce learning;
• offer supervisory tools for use with staff;
• support the strengthening of peer support and learning through cohorts;
• integrate measurable outcomes and learning objectives;
• include accessible suggested readings that will support participant learning and provide resources to share with staff

A hot breakfast buffet and parking are free. Other amenities include an exercise room, an indoor heated pool and a hot tub. A guest laundry and a business center are also available. Within 1 mile from Interstate 94, this relaxed, modern hotel with a partial stone facade is 3 miles from Bismarck State College and 5 miles from the Dakota Zoo.
